A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typo. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this problem can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet very user-friendly, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it again will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small-size button conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
